The tradition of Pilar de
Zaragoza
Tradition
says that the Blessed Virgin Mary when she still lived in Jerusalem came
in the flesh at Zaragoza to encourage the Apostle Santiago. Santiago was
on the banks of the Ebro preaching the Gospel. This happened on January 2
of year 40 d.C.
The Virgin Mary came, who appeared and brought the columns or pillars on
it for the first chapel was built, the first Marian church in Christendom.
That was followed and temples to which we see today.
